Love And Regret by timeo Love And Regret by timeo
Cranes symbolize love and union in Japanese culture.
Sometimes we look back at love.
Nostalgia and regret are so massive, it almost seems to follow us.

This is the last piece I've done for my crane series.

Daily Deviation

Given 2011-02-25
After reading about the current community project 1000 deviants, 1000 cranes this coincidentally caught my eye. This deviant has a beautifully surreal series exploring the emotions behind the significant crane which is well worth taking a look at starting with this rather overwhelming piece! Oh, I like this one... Yes, regrets often seem very big, and... it feels like they haunt you.

Love the symbolism. Nostalgia and regret really are massive, but hadn't thought of them together until reading what you wrote.

i don't know exactly but take a look closely at the shadows..
the direction of the lamp and the paperbird and why the opacity of the shadow gets brighter in this situation
aand please have a look his other works like this [link]
i never said it's a bad idea or anything, just that this is probably no photo.

No, but I have thought about folding giant cranes. I've folded giant modular pieces that were big enough for people to sit inside of. :meow:

To me it looked like a manip, but I wasn't 100% certain, I just wondered if Lunox-baik knew for sure.
